QR code (abbreviation for
Quick Response code) is a specific
matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code) that is
readable by dedicated QR
barcode readers and
camera telephones.
When you see a QR code, you simply take a picture of it with the app on your phone, then you will be lead to wherever the code is set for. Typically QR codes lead to a website link, or to an email address. For example, in Real Estate, they will lead to a virtual tour of the home, the agents website, or even an agents Facebook page.
How do you get started? It is very simple! If you have a smart phone, all you need to do is download the application on your phone (most are free), and take a picture of the code with your camera phone. We are starting to put these codes on property signs, flyers, websites, Facebook pages, business cards, advertising, magazine ads, etc. They are everywhere!
